Levolux, the UK’s leading Solar Shading specialist provided the new Rednock School in Gloucestershire with a first class Solar Shading system, helping it become the first school in Gloucestershire to achieve a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating and ensuring a comfortable learning environment for its pupils.
The Düsseldorf Concert Hall was designed by HPP Architects and is located in Düsseldorf Germany and uses GKD Metal Mesh in a ceilings application. The Shimmering bronze tones threaded throughout the woven stainless steel fabric gives a unique character to the optics and acoustics of the refurbished concert hall in Düsseldorf. This custom design is a perfect surround for the artistic activities within.
To combat the risk of excessive solar heat gain, through south facing, lower level windows, Levolux developed a custom solar shading system, comprising four rows of 450mm wide by 80mm deep, external Timber Fins. Installed horizontally along the building’s south east and south west elevations, the Timber Fins are fixed at an angle of 90 degrees and reflect direct sunlight, before it passes through windows.
