When it comes to the dramatic, there is nothing like a a GKD Metal Fabric design, in this case Tigris. Artfully draped and curved, the fabric gently reflects the lighting while at the same time playing a game of hide and seek through the archways. You get the feel of an art gallery but it really is in the midst of a fine shopping establishment. Well done. Project is located in New York, NY and was designed by TEK Architects. Illumesh and Mediamesh combine to transform the facade of a manufacturing facility along a busy highway in the culturally rich region in the French countryside into an ever-changing display of light and color and detailed graphics. During daylight hours the stainless steel facade shimmers at the whim of the sunlight and at night glows with the reflected light of its embedded weather proof LEDs, never interrupting the view from within the offices behind. The fabric covers some 1600 ft² using 7 large panels of Illumesh and one panel of Mediamesh for the more intricate detail. In the end, the factory employees and the surrounding community embrace the media creation with open arms and resounding praise. This project was designed by Batir France and is located in Torcé, Normandie France. For more information visit http://tinyurl.com/3sdphfy

A checkerboard array of tensioned, metal fabric panels, custom woven with different degrees of transparency visually enriches the façade of this parking facility. The effect of the metallic skin functionally is to mitigate intensities of sun and weather, while allowing air to flow, light to permeate and visibility to continue. What a great combination. A top priority to this project was to meet the hurricane force wind requirements. Key to this is the product design and the custom attachment techniques, which included top eye flats and bottom springs and eyebolts. Designed by Zyscovich Architects.
